Jay is an expert at improving the impact and effectiveness of boards of directors, c-suite teams, board chairs and CEOs, together with enhancing the strategic leadership capability of organizations.

He has worked with many global brands over the last 20+ years. He has recruited, assessed, advised, and coached senior leaders and their teams from well over 500 organizations, including corporates (private and listed), government and public sector entities, family businesses and private partnerships, operating across multiple industries and geographies.
In the last 5 years he has personally advised over 65 Saudi board chairs, CEOs and other senior leaders.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, he spent 16 years at Deloitte as a senior partner, initially in the United Kingdom and Europe and latterly in the Middle East. He served as the organization’s Global Governance Advisor, advising the Deloitte Global Board Chair and Global Board of Directors, along with member firm chairs and boards worldwide.
He was also Global Executive Advisor to one of Deloitte’s most significant and strategic global clients based in the Kingdom, working with members of the c-suite and their teams.
He has authored over 50 publications, had a column in a major journal at the age of 25, and has been quoted in the Economist and the Financial Times. His Board Impact Frameworks are used in the education of Harvard Business School MBA students and have been adopted globally by boards, including across Deloitte's network.

A regular keynote speaker at conferences, Jay has also designed and led masterclasses for top board directors, including those in the UK FTSE 100. He is a GCC Board Directors Institute faculty member.

Jay is a qualified Clinical Psychologist, receiving his doctorate and MA (Hons.) at the University of Edinburgh.

Early in his career, Jay worked as a UK Premier League football agent and founded a sports marketing company.
