Amin has spent the majority of his career at PwC and has been with the firm in Dubai and London for over 35 years where he was also a Partner for 20 years. Amin played an integral role in establishing PwC’s dedicated Middle East Family Business Advisory Practice and today, in his capacity as Senior Advisor to PwC, Amin remains dedicated to the firm’s Middle East Entrepreneurial and Private Clients across the Gulf Region, serving as a trusted advisor to business families, particularly as a mentor, mediator, facilitator, educator and coach.

He is a leading reference in the area of family governance across the Gulf and Wider MENA region and has more than 35 years’ experience of advising over 100 multigenerational family enterprises across the MENA Region over the span of his professional career. Amin is well-versed and familiar with many of the challenges facing, and being faced by families in business, and over the years has devised various strategies and integrated solutions to meet the needs of families. He also brings an operational and practical business background coupled with his unique perspective of family businesses to build unique and tailored sustainable solutions for families in business.

Amin also works with governments and key stakeholders across the region to provide advice and guidance on the family business agenda, and how best to support families in business across the region.

Professional experience

Amin’s experience with family businesses in the Middle East is considerable. Over the last 30 years, he has worked with a large number of families advising them on key family issues such as family/business Strategy, Continuity, Succession Planning and Conflict Management. He has also helped these families establish their ownership governance and their Family Constitution or Protocols as well as advising them on intergenererational transition of their family businesss.
Amin has both in-house experience working in family business as well as significant consulting and advisory experience having been with the Firm for over 35 years and having also held the position of CEO in a regional Family Business conglomerate where he worked closely with the Chairman to develop and execute the Group’s long term strategy
Amin works closely with Families in business, leading the transformation and operation of ownership and corporate governance models for diversified family groups, often this is done within the context of preparing the business for ownership and leadership succession.

Amin is a regular speaker at Family business conferences and forums and has written a number of whitepapers and thought leaderships.

He also has a wide range of business advisory and corporate finance experience gained in the UAE and in the UK in a variety of business sectors including Retail, Manufacturing, Construction, Trading, Aviation, Government and Oil & Gas.
