Alison Dillon Kibirige is a global expert on corporate governance (Governance, Ethics, CSR and Risk Management). Alison has worked for the IFC/Global Corporate Governance Forum on projects in Indonesia, Mongolia, Zambia, Nigeria, Rwanda and Malawi. Alison has worked globally for over 25 years as a company secretary, previously as secretary to the main Boards of Unilever and Barclays in London. She has also set up and worked as a director in several SMEs. Alison has also been involved in numerous consultations with governments, regulators and industry and professional bodies in Africa, Europe and the US. She is a Fellow of ICSA and a UK solicitor. Alison was awarded the 2013 ICSA President’s Medal for Meritorious Service, the inaugural ICSA Company Secretary of the Year award in 2005 and has also won awards globally for her work with shareholders.
Samer Khan is a highly experienced Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) professional with a proven track record of establishing and leading control functions across diverse industries. As the Chief Governance, Risk, and Compliance Officer at Al-Balad Development Company (BDC), a wholly owned PIF subsidiary, Samer plays a critical role in ensuring the organization adheres to the highest standards of governance, risk management, and compliance. He works closely with the Board of Directors, its sub-committees, including the Audit Committee, and the Board Secretary to provide regular reports and continous oversight on key GRC matters, ensuring transparency and facilitating informed decision-making. In addition obtaining an MBA, he holds key certifications such as the ICA's International Diploma in GRC, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).
