Overview

The focus on the negative effects of climate change driven by our carbon-based economy has never been higher. Business leaders face increasing pressure by powerful stakeholders to reduce their carbon emissions and be part of the solution to mitigate climate change and the associated societal and business risks. A transformation in the way we conduct business is needed to achieve sustainable business growth, which requires significant decarbonization of our business activities.

This session focuses on the opportunities that business sustainability and Net Zero (reducing carbon emissions to zero) business practices bring to our current and future businesses. We will explore the business case for the commitment to ESG and Net Zero and apply key tools and frameworks that will allow leaders to understand where they currently are in their sustainability journey and where they need to go.

A powerful business transformational framework, the Circular Economy, will be featured in this session as a way of capturing value that is currently lost and creating new opportunities for sustainable business growth in a capitalist economy. Other frameworks and tools will be explored that allow leaders to capture and communicate their progress to stakeholders, creating accountability for the business.

Join the GCC Board Directors Institute for this highly topical workshop to better understand Sustainability, ESG and how to apply it in your organisation. Learn about and apply the powerful concepts we will cover to ensure that your organisations lead the way in reducing your carbon footprint and become regional leaders in Sustainability.
